New entry for our blog in which we have Galluestudio as the protagonist. Sergio Luis and Dariel are designers who focus their design activity on lighting, furniture and interior spaces.
Graduated in Industrial Design from the University of Havana, together they created Galluestudio to create or transform projects of spaces and products with an aesthetic and functional dimension according to today's society.
Their concepts are based on the functionality and usability of products, they develop design strategies that evoke emotions and moods, incorporating traditional materials into contemporary forms.
They constantly work on creating versatile pieces of furniture and lighting, taking into account new ways of using products and the interactions between them and the users.

Interview with Galluestudio
How would you summarize in a short sentence what interior design is for you?
It is the intentional creation or transformation of an interior space to achieve an optimal user experience.
What can you tell us about the intangible value of design?
Designers are specialists in usability, in ensuring that the tangible part of a product fulfills the function for which it was created. But that same product entails a high degree of intangible value.
Regardless of the degree of utility that a product may have, it has an intrinsic conceptual value that evokes, motivates something: Luxury? Desire? Comfort? Emotions? …
A design is good when we achieve a harmonic balance between the material, the visible, the functional and what we want to evoke.
Within the world of current interior design, what role does furniture design play?
Furniture design is, of all the elements that make up the space, one of the most important if we want to achieve functional balance and use in our interior design projects.
It is almost impossible to conceive a space without making use of at least some type of furniture. Either designed specifically for the concept or through references. A furniture design that is simple, functional and that manages to adapt to each space, adding value, is becoming more and more necessary.
Of all your career, what project or projects would you highlight as the most relevant in which you have participated?
Each project in which we have contributed or have fully carried out has been relevant for us, always generating something different and enriching that allows us to grow as a professional.
To highlight a few, we would say that the design of bedroom furniture for the Swiss Company Elite Beds allowed us to play with functionality and luxury without ties.
Finally, how do you perceive the present and the future of Interior Design?
We believe that the present of Interior Design is focused on the personalization and privacy that is increasingly pressing for users today. In the long term, Interior Design must assimilate technological advances and adapt them to new functions, new modes of use, new resources.
It will be up to the designers to promote interior spaces that strengthen socialization and interpersonal relationships, and reinforce the private, personal space, isolated from users.
