After a training in the Master in 3D Interior Design, Modeling and Decoration at the European Institute of Business Studies, she continued with this path of Interior Design.
The goal is to create spaces with high quality finishes, developing a perfect execution. She seeks the practicality and personality of the spaces, so that they project the identity of the people who inhabit it.
Interview with Susana Urbano
How would you summarize in a short sentence what interior design is for you?
The art of integrating a space to the tastes and needs of my clients, creating a space so special that neither the client nor her guests would want to leave it.
What can you tell us about the intangible value of design?
The design has the power to move my soul, the different senses and the subconscious of people materializing in moments of enjoyment and happiness.
In today’s world of interior design, what role does furniture design play?
Fundamental. The possibility of making emotions tangible, expressing the client’s personality and adapting it to the spaces and needs of the client and the space where it is to be positioned.
Of your entire career, which project or projects would you highlight as the most relevant in which you have participated?
The first of all, the total renovation of a historic and protected building from the 17th century and the renovation in which I am now involved in the priestly area of a school.
Finally, how do you perceive the present and the future of interior design?
The awareness of well-being, of using sustainable materials, of taking advantage of the spaces makes the interior designer’s work now highly valued.
I think that this awareness is going to become greater and the need to feel good at home or in public spaces as well. I am convinced that Interior Design is going to be more and more important in our society.
